Winners of annual student journalism contest announced at SPJ UW's award ceremony

SPJ UW proudly hosted the 2nd Annual Excellence in Journalism & Media Contest Award Ceremony on March 5th at Bulldog News & Café in the University District. Shira and Julia, co-presidents of SPJ UW, announced the winners of each category and prepared prizes and certificates for their achievements. Congratulations to all the winners for their outstanding contributions!

Following the ceremony, students were engaging in lively conversations and networking over cookies and coffee. It provided a valuable opportunity to exchange ideas, pitch stories, and connect with aspiring journalists and peers in related fields.
